Black tin and brass magic lantern made by the American optician and dealer
in optical goods, James W. Queen
, Philadelphia,
Pa., c. 1841-1860. The wood base measures 14 1/2" (37 cm) long, and from the back
of the base to the tip of the lens it is almost 18" (45.5 cm) long. It is almost 7"
(17.5 cm) wide and 18 1/2" (47 cm) to the top of the chimney.
