Here she goes... and there she goes.
		Een serie van twaalf toverlantaarnplaten die rond 1910 gemaakt werd door de Engelse fabrikant York & Son naar het gedicht 'The Old Clock' van James Nack (geboren rond 1807). Twee Amerikaanse schavuiten nemen een herbergier in de maling. Ze sluiten een weddenschap met hem af waarbij de oude klok in de herberg een grote rol speelt.

The old chapel bell Het oude kapelletje Een serie van tien vierkante lantaarnplaten gemaakt door York & Son, rond 1898, naar een ballade van de Amerikaanse dichter en satireschrijver John Godfrey Saxe, The old chapel bell.
	Within a churchyard's sacred ground, Whose fading tablets tell Where they who built the village church In solemn silence dwell, Half hidden in the earth, there lies An ancient Chapel-Bell. Broken, decayed, and covered o'er With mouldering leaves and rust; Its very name and date concealed Beneath a cankering crust; Forgotten,—like its early friends, Who sleep in neighboring dust.

The road to Heaven - De weg naar de hemel. Een serie van 7-9 toverlantaarnplaten gemaakt door Bamforth & Co., Engeland,1891 naar een gedicht van de Engelse journalist, dichter, toneelschrijver, romanschrijver en levensgenieter George Robert Sims (1847-1922). Dit is een heruitgave van de gelijknamige serie gemaakt door Bamforth rond 1885, bestaande uit 6 platen. De nieuwe serie heeft 7 platen met 2 toegevoegde platen met de nummers 5a en 5b. We zien James Bamforth op de platen 5b en 6 de rol spelen van de oude man in de boot.

The road to Heaven Een serie van 8 toverlantaarnplaten gemaakt door York & Son, Engeland, naar hetzelfde gedicht van George Robert Sims. De platen zijn voorzien van een driehoekig etiketje in de linkerbovenhoek, dat waarschijnlijk over het bekende etiketje met het handelsmerk van York heen is geplakt. De letters W.M.S.S.U. staan voor 'Wesleyan Methodist Sunday School Union'.
Beide series laten op de eerste lantaarnplaat een gesprek zien met een arts over zijn jonge patiënt die helaas is overleden. De daarop volgende platen zijn een 'flash-back' van het vreselijke ongeluk dat heeft plaatsgevonden. How is the boy this morning? Why do you shake your head? Ah! I can see what's happened - there's a screen drawn round the bed. So, poor little Mike is sleeping the last long sleep at all! I'm sorry - but who could wonder, after that dreadful fall.

	The landlord's visit Bezoek van de huisbaas. Een kleine, maar ook zeer fijne serie toverlantaarnplaten met een positief verhaal. De huisbaas is op weg naar het huisje dat de arme weduwe Clare van hem huurt. Als hij door het raam kijkt en ziet hoe zielig ze daar zit gaat hij snel nog even langs bij de groenteboer en koopt een grote zak aardappelen die hij bij haar bezorgt. 6 lantaarnplaten naar een verhaal van De Witt Clinton Lockwood, gemaakt door York & Son, Engeland, ca 1900).

Mark yon low cottage standing by the road, All silent, desolate, and half in ruins. There is a story hanging to the place, And if you listen, I will tell it you. No footfall echoes on the broken stairs; No fire burns in the hearth; no thin smoke curls From out the broken chimney; and the birds Have built their nests in the decaying thatch.
